Azarov, Medvedev discuss FTA agreement with CIS
KYIV, July 26. /UKRINFORM/. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov had a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on July 25 during which they discussed prospects for the ratification of an agreement on the creation of a free trade area (FTA) with the CIS, the press service of the Russian government has reported.
“During the conversation, the sides discussed trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. In addition, they also spoke about prospects for the ratification by Ukraine of an agreement on a free trade area within the CIS,” reads the statement.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych tabled in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine bill No. 0266 on the ratification of the FTA agreement within the CIS.
