Ukraine has not broken off relations with any European country and is ready to hold an open dialogue, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said.
“I want to say that we have not lost relations with any European countries,” the president said in an interview on May 20.
Yanukovych also said Ukraine hears the accusations and statements from the EU, and is going to reply to them.
“We’re ready to reply to them, but we are reserving the time for this statement for ourselves. We need some time to think and dot the i’s, and then, probably, everything will become clear,” the president said.
He added that Kyiv is worried by the tone of Europe’s statements.
“Nevertheless, we are keeping up this dialogue, and we’re looking it in the eye, as they say.”
