World leaders condemning violence in Ukrainian capital

KYIV (NEWS1130) – Authorities say at least 25 people have been killed in street clashes in Kyiv.

Many more have been hurt in the worst violence since anti-government demonstrations began in November.

Thousands of police armed with stun grenades and water cannons charged into an opposition camp in the Ukrainian capital.

A handful of protesters have taken refuge in the Canadian Embassy.

The prime minister is being kept up to date on the situation while he’s in Mexico.

Stephen Harper says he’s troubled by the reports of violence and deaths.
