From December, low cost airline Wizz Air will fly to Tel Aviv and Kyiv three times a week, having received permission for the flights for an unspecified period from the authorities. The new routes expect to have 2 million passengers annually, CEO József Váradi said on Monday. Further rights for flights to Moscow and Istanbul are expected within two months, he added.
Wizz Air has signed a three-year contract with Malév Ground Handling to take effect from November 1, valued at Ft 2 billion, Váradi announced. The state-owned company will provide passenger checking, luggage handling, cleaning and defrosting services.
