The Vokzalna subway station in Kyiv was closed for passengers due to a bomb threat call on Thursday morning.

The press service of the municipally owned Kyivsky Metropoliten enterprise told Interfax-Ukraine that the station was closed from 0930 until 1030.

The 102 police hotline in Kyiv received a message about an alleged bomb in the Vokzalna subway station on Thursday morning. Operative teams were called to the station immediately, the station was closed, and trains passed through it without stopping.

The capital’s main police office told the agency that they did not discover any bombs at the station.

“The call was anonymous and it appeared to be a hoax,” the police said.

The police are now searching for the bomb threat caller.
