VITALI KLITSCHKO’S ELECTION AS KYIV MAYOR CONFIRMED

Ukraine’s electoral commission has confirmed that WBC Emeritus heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko, is the new Mayor of the capital Kyiv.

Klitschko was one of the leaders of the protests that ended the government of former President Yanukovych in February.

The WBC reported that Klitschko then ran for Mayor of Kyiv and received great support from various sectors including leading businessman and current elected president, Petro Poroshenko.

The WBC under its president Mauricio Sulaiman congratulated Vitali Klitschko for his political achievements and wished him great success in this important position.
