The number of flights reached the
figure of 2080; this means that had exceeded the results of summer 2010 by 18.9%.
The number of passengers in February has accumulated to 120.9 thousands; the
most popular flights were to Brussels, Moscow, Kyiv, Copenhagen, Warsaw and
Tallinn. airBaltic, Lufthansa, Finnair,
Scandinavian Airlines, Wizz Air
and Ryanair
are the companies having flown the major part of passengers within the last
winter month, writes LETA.

 

The successful February continues
the growth of Vilnius Airport passengers’ number: in the period of December –
February the average was 67.5%. Approximately 129, 300 passengers were serviced
in January 2012, meaning that the result of the same month in 2011 was exceeded
by 66.08% and the results of December 2011 increased by 66.25%, i.e. 135
thousand of passengers were serviced.

 

Starting March 25 the aviation
summer season starts. Vilnius Airport will be connected with 29 cities in
Europe and 37 Airports. Two Russian companies will join the seventeen
companies, flying on regular basis, i.e. Aeroflot
and AK Bars Aero as well as company Iceland Express and Sun d’Or from Izrael.
