USA and EU to help Ukraine restructure its most corrupt company
Naftohaz, Ukraine’s most corrupt company, on Kyiv’s request, will be restructured jointly by the USA, EU and EBRD, coordinator of US department programs for Europe and Eurasia Daniel Rosenblum announced June 25, ITAR-TASS reports.
We were asked by Kyiv to help Ukraine rebuild its gas pumping company, the officials said, speaking in the US Congress.
Naftohaz and the whole system of gas supplies in Ukraine is a source of many financial losses and corruption. Naftohaz is a noose around the neck opf Ukraine’s energy sector, he said.
In addition, the US assists EU and Ukraine in a diplomatic sense to increase gas supplies via Europe, especially via Slovakia.
