All Su-25 fighter jets temporarily grounded after deadly crash
KYIV, Ukraine – A Ukrainian Su-25 warplane crashed in the eastern part of the country during a training flight Wednesday, killing the pilot, said the Ukrainian military.
According to a statement issued by the General Military Staff, the Sukhoi Su-25 fighter jet went down in Mikhailovka village of Zaporizhia region, 40 km north of Kyiv.
Efforts were underway to identify the cause of the crash as all Su-25 flights were suspended temporarily, the military added.
