Ukrainian Su-25 Aircraft Crashes, Pilot Dies
KYIV – A Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force crashed in the southeast killing the pilot, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday.
The Su-25 plane crashed during a scheduled training flight about 40 kilometers (24 miles) north of Zaporizhia, the statement added.
The ministry note underlined that the incident did not cause ground damage or civilian casualties.
Teams of experts went to the site to start an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
