15:06 GMT, June 26, 2012 Kyiv | According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Dmytro Salamatin, today Ukraine holds a leading position among the world’s manufacturers of armored vehicles.
As a confirmation, Dmytro Salamatin marked a current shipment of armored personnel carriers B??-3E and sales of 49 Oplot tanks to Thailand; successful implementation of Ukrainian-Iraqi contract on shipment of B??-4 armored personnel carriers.
“Generally, for the first time for over 20 years, Ukraine sold defense production for over USD 1 billion. Today we occupy the leading positions among key world manufacturers of armors,” he said.
