KYIV, December 2. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has granted Ukrainian citizenship to Natalia Yaresko, a finance minister nominee, the head of the investment fund Horizon Capital, a native of the United States, and Aivaras Abromavicius, a candidate for economy minister from Lithuania, Radical Party’s leader and parliament member Oleh Lyashko said Tuesday.
“As far as I know, the president signed a decree yesterday and granted Ukrainian citizenship to some foreign candidates to the government,” Layshko told reporters giving the two names. He had no information about Georgian candidates.
Earlier it was reported that Georgia’s former President Mikheil Saakashvili had turned down an invitation to take the position of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister.
