Ukraine-Turkey trade and economic commission will hold meeting in Kyiv in June
A meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Turkish commission on trade and economic cooperation is scheduled for June, Vice Premier, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko has said.
“We consider the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Turkish commission on trade and economic cooperation to be one of the most effective mechanisms for the development of our trade and economic relations. I hope we will achieve understanding and hold the tenth commission meeting in Kyiv in June,” Zubko said at a meeting with Turkish Vice Prime Minister Ali Babacan.
The sides discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation and invigorating trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Turkey.
“The Ukrainian government supports the policy of signing a free trade agreement with Turkey,” Zubko said.
The parties discussed the need to strengthen work to establish public-private partnership.
Babacan also confirmed Turkey’s readiness to actively work towards the development of cooperation with Ukraine in various sectors
