Ukraine to Harvest 9% More Sugar Beet in 2012, Researcher Says
Ukraine’s sugar beet output will
rise 9 percent this year to 20.4 million metric tons from
18.7 million tons in 2011, agriculture researcher UkrAgroConsult
said.
Sugar beet plantings will probably climb to 615,000
hectares (1.5 million acres) from 545,000 hectares, the Kyiv-
based company said in statement e-mailed yesterday.
