Ukraine Opposing Rallies
Opposing rallies are held across Ukraine. Pro-Russian protesters gathered in the Eastern Ukrainian City of Donetsk, and called for the protection of children from the Ukrainian Army. The organizer of the rally said the demonstration is against fascism. Meanwhile, pro-government protesters gathered in Kyiv’s Independence Square and called for a United Ukraine.
Kyiv’s newly-elected mayor said it was necessary to build a new Ukraine from the ground up.
