Ukraine and China signed a framework agreement on cooperation in agriculture with the participation of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, China National Corporation of General Contracting, Export-Import Bank of China and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksandr Sen told a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
“This is a framework agreement, but this agreement provides for the possibility of investment of the Republic of China in Ukraine, in its agricultural business, in the business of serving Ukraine’s agricultural sector, and also outlines certain priorities in this direction,” Sen said. The deputy minister explained that the meeting covered investment in plant protection products, agricultural machinery, infrastructure development, etc. The next meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Chinese subcommission on cooperation in the field of agriculture will be held in China, and its date will be determined by the Chinese side.
