UEFA Sanctions Dynamo Kyiv for Racism, Riots

MADRID – UEFA’s Disciplinary Committee has ordered Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv to play its next three UEFA competition matches as host club behind closed doors, for racist behavior by its supporters and riots during the UEFA Champions League match against Chelsea on Oct. 20.

The charges against the Ukrainian club are racist behavior, rioting and blocking public stairs in the stadium.

Dynamo Kyiv will have to play without spectators for its next two Champions League matches, and the third is suspended for a probationary period of three years.

In addition, UEFA imposed a fine of 100,000 euros ($105,890) on the Ukrainian club.
