UEFA expects 250 million TV audience for Euro 2012 final
UEFA expects an official global television audience of 250 million viewers watching Spain play Italy in the European Championship final on Sunday.
UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein tells The Associated Press that ratings already achieved by Euro 2012 matches suggests Sunday’s final will beat the 237 million average for Spain’s title-winning victory against Germany four years ago.
Epstein says “I think it’s a strong performance and we’re happy so far.”
Average audience ratings include viewers who watch for at least 30 minutes.
Epstein says UEFA expects 350 million television viewers to see at least one minute of the match played in Kyiv.
