Russian-backed militants launch 36 attacks in eastern Ukraine
Ukraine’s military reports two soldiers have been killed and four more wounded in the Donbas conflict zone in the last day.
“One Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action and another one was booby trapped; three more were wounded. We suffered all the casualties in Donetsk direction,” – Ukraine’s military spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said at a briefing in Kyiv on Sunday, January 31.

The Ukrainian military says combined Russian-separatist forces in east Ukraine continue to violate a ceasefire, including on 36 occasions in the last day.
Moreover Ukrainian army positions are repeatedly targeted with heavy weapons, banned under the Minsk peace deal.
