Tax Service, PricewaterhouseCoopers Agree On Devising Strategy For State Tax …

The State Tax Service and the PricewaterhouseCoopers international auditing company (PwC, Kyiv) have reached an agreement on devising the strategy for the State Tax Service development in 2012 – 2016, Oleksandr Klymenko, head of the State Tax Service, told a press-conference.

They have already worked out the first phase of the company’s strategy for 2012 to start implementation as of May, he noted.

According to Klymenko, transformation in the tax industry must be based on service functions because tax accounting takes 657 hours of accountants’ working time yearly having put Ukraine in the 175th place in the World Bank’s rating.

The primary objective of the stategy-2012 is to improve the tax and duty administration system, to introduce electronic services and new models of tax support services for large taxpayers, as well as to create equal competitive conditions and limit the possibility of corruption, he added.

Also, the strategy will focus on stabilization of the tax law and improvement of legislative changes in the dialogue with the businesses.

As Ukrainian News reported, President Viktor Yanukovych expects the State Tax Service to establish a partnership dialogue with entrepreneurs.
