Sumy begins accepting applications for police patrol

Sumy follows Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa and Ternopil

Sumy has started receiving applications from those wishing to join ranks of Ukraine’s new police patrols.

The city in eastern Ukraine follows Kramatorsk, Lviv, Kyiv, Ternopol, Odesa and Kharkiv, where the the flagship law-enforcement reform has already been launched.

The new recruits will have a big reputation to live up to. In the Ukrainian capital, the new police force has become an instant hit – a far cry from the previous officers notorious for bribe taking.
