Street artists paint Kyiv metro car with flowers as part of Women’s day holiday
March 8th holiday prompted anonymous benefactors to pay for Women’s Day decoration
As part of events to mark international women’s day, street artists in Ukrainian capital Kyiv have painted part of one of the city’s metro trains with flowers and have adorned the inside with greetings to all Ukrainian women.
The artists said they spared no efforts to create the decorations, which were paid for by anonymous benefactors: “It took a week to make the picture. Sometimes we had to work until midnight in order to finish the painting on time.”
Women’s Day is marked in Ukraine on March 8th but the decorated metro car will remain on the tracks for the rest of the year.
