Spurs midfielder Niko Kranjcar has confirmed that he isis set to join Dynamo Kyiv.

The 27-year-old is currently preparing for Croatia’s Euro 2012 campaign but he has told Jutarnji List in his homeland that the deal is about to go through.

“The clubs have agreed a fee,” he said.

“Now all that remains are some small details as I agree personal terms.

“I personally am not involved with that. I have left that to the people that represent me as I am concentrating on the Euros.”

Kranjcar has spent the past three seasons with Spurs since moving from Portsmouth in a transfer said at the time to be around £2.5million. He made just 49 Premier League appearances in three seasons at White Hart Lane with just 12 coming last season as he found himself pushed down the pecking order behind Gareth Bale.

A move away from the club last summer was scuppered by Harry Redknapp’s insistence on keeping the squad together for Spurs’ Europa League campaign but Kranjcar hinted at interest from eastern Europe last week when he was linked with Russian sides CSKA Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow as well as Dynamo Kyiv.

“In Russia and Ukraine playing football you can earn huge money,” he said. “Whether we admit it or not, money is important.”

It is believed Kranjcar will pick up a pay rise of some 60 per cent by moving to the Ukrainian side.
