Communism vs. the courts: Kyiv judge upholds ban on party participating in elections
The Communist Party of Ukraine has been banned from operating and participating in elections. A Kyiv court upheld a government lawsuit which charged the party with “inciting ethnic hatred” and promoting separatism. But what does this mean in practice? To discuss Ukraine’s push forward with ‘decommunisation’ we’re joined by one of the authors of the package of laws on ‘decommunisation’, Ukrainian lawyer Serhiy Ryabchenko.
