MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. The Russian Public Chamber’s commission for media and communications condemns the attack on a LifeNews female reporter in Kyiv and intends to make a statement addressed to Ukrainian authorities and international journalist organizations over the incident, the commission chairman told TASS.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, November 26, before a concert of Ukrainian singer Ani Lorak near the venue. Nationalists gathered near the palace, demanding to cancel the concert. The LifeNews television reporter, Yevgenia Zmanovskaya, was beaten during the disorders. Ukrainian journalists also participated in the outrageous attack.

“We come out with a statement addressed to Kyiv authorities about inadmissibility of such actions,” commission chairman Dmitry Biryukov said.

The commission also intends to send the statement to Western journalist organizations to draw attention to the fact that such incidents occur regularly in Ukraine.
