Russia destroys trust between Kyiv and Moscow – Klimkin
There is no trust between Ukraine and Russia and a dialogue is so far possible only on the issues critical for both sides, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.
“In my opinion, the centerpiece of interstate relations is not the agreements, the legal foundation or even political commitments, because Russia has destroyed all such commitments, including the Budapest Memorandum. The centerpiece is trust. There is no trust between us now,” Klimkin said in a program aired by Channel 5 on Wednesday night.
He said there would be a dialogue on critical issues, “the issues which determine our existence and the existence of Russia.”
“And I see it as a question of the future whether we can go further,” Klimkin said.
