Champions League_cover

Porto have been excellent in the Champions League and at home they have been perfect putting away both Chelsea and Maccabi. They have only conceded one goal in nine competitive games at home and have not lost at home since losing to Benfica in December 2014, almost a full year unbeaten at home. If Porto avoid defeat in the home game against FC Dynamo Kyiv they will qualify for the knockout rounds.

Dynamo Kyiv were desperately unlucky to lose to Chelsea last time out, a brilliant free kick from Willian with seven minutes to go was the difference between the teams in the end. A 2-1 loss at Chelsea left them third in Group G, two points behind the Blues and they travel to Portugal knowing that failure to win, coupled with a Chelsea victory at Maccabi Tel Aviv, will see them eliminated from the competition.

Head to head

This will be the eighth meeting between the sides in the Champions League/European Cup, with Porto losing just one of the previous seven against Dynamo Kyiv.

On matchday one, Vitaliy Buyalskiy scored a last-minute equaliser on his UEFA Champions League debut to rescue a2-2 draw for Dynamo after Vincent Aboubakar had grabbed his second of the night for Porto. Oleh Gusev had put the home side ahead.
