Porto vs Dynamo Kyiv betting preview with bet365 odds and our tips and prediction
Porto host Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League in the Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday trading as bet365’s 4/6 favourites to move into the knock-out stages with a victory.
These odds can be seen as short.
While Kyiv went down 2-1 at Chelsea last time out in Group G, it took a last gasp Willian free-kick for the hosts to win and that defeat was prefaced by a home draw against Porto, an away win at Maccabi Tel Aviv and a home draw against Chelsea.
The Ukrainians, priced 5/1 for an upset, are only three points off leaders Porto in Group G and they are level with Shakhtar Donetsk on points at the top of their domestic league having won their last four league games in a row without conceding.
Indeed, Sergiy Rebrov’s side have only lost one of their last 42 domestic fixtures.
That said, Dynamo’s 2-1 win in Israel on matchday two in Group G was their first away win in the Champions League in eight attempts in the competition proper and in Porto they face a side who have lost one of 13 previous meetings with Ukrainian clubs (W7 D5).
Julian Lopetegui’s team won five and drew one of their six home games en route to the quarter-finals of last season’s Champions League and they have only lost two of their last 19 in UEFA’s elite club competition, winning 13 and drawing four.
In fact Porto are 20 games unbeaten in all competitions since the 6-1 defeat by Bayern in the second leg of their 2014/15 Champions League quarter-final.
Tip
Back Porto to seal progression in this one but the fact that Kyiv have kept 16 clean sheets in their last 22 matches suggests it could be a low scoring affair.
A home win to nil and -2.5 goals tempt as 6/4 and 3/4 shots while backing Porto to win 2-0 tempts at as a 6/1 option.
Three goal Vincent Aboubakar is an attractive first goalscorer bet at 4/1 alongside Yacine Brahimi who trades 21/10 to net anytime.
