Porto – Dynamo Kyiv Predictions

Porto is looking for the fourth victory in Group G of the UEFA Champions League in the match against Dynamo Kyiv, despite the fact that a tie will be enough to qualify for the round of 16 for the second year in a row. Julen Lopetegui claims the next match, against Dynamo Kyiv is“the most important match of the year so far”.

“It’s the most important match of the year so far and we need to face it with determination, ambition, and confidence in ourselves, trusting that we will deal with any problems by playing good football. We haven’t achieved anything yet; we need to win against a good team, that plays with good tactics, has good players, and that is pretty much half of the Ukrainian national team. We need to do things right, both on the attack and the defence, so we can beat this good opponent.

Dynamo Kyiv doesn’t concede many goals, they are a solid team, that plays good football. We played well in Ukraine, and we still couldn’t win. We tied that match, but tomorrow will be a different game. These are the final matches in the group stage, and each one gets more important, for everyone. We need to face each match in the same way: we need to attack with danger and defend well. There is no other alternative.“ added the coach.

From his words it´s clear that he wants to win this match. If Porto wins today, they will have 3 points ahead of Chelsea (If Chelsea wins too). But for Dynamo Kyiv is today´s win very exciting vision, because in the last round will play Chelsea with Porto and they could benefit from this, but they must win today!

Porto, undefeated for 20 matches in all competitions, lost only once to Ukrainian teams before, curiously enough against Dynamo, at Estádio do Dragão, in 2008/09, in the group stage of the Champions League. And the good news is that Porto don´t have any injuries and they welcome five returning players: Maxi Pereira, Jesús Corona, André André, Danilo and Miguel Layún.
