The Ukrainian leader and his wife led commemorations for victims of Holodomor in Kyiv on Nov. 28
The victims of the 1932-33 famine being honoured today are a manifestation of Russia’s centuries-old hybrid war against Ukraine. That statement was published on President Petro Poroshenko’s Facebook page on November 28.
“We’re praying for the heavenly multimillion legion of the Ukrainian people. The innocent souls of Ukrainians who were killed are invisibly beside us. Holodomor – nothing else but the centuries-old hybrid war Russia leads against Ukraine.”
