New Year Fair – Kyiv’s New Year’s tree
This year every square of Kyiv has a nicely organized Christmas/New Year fair – all these will last till the end of the holidays.
On the old historical Sofia square there is enough place to throw a massive event with a stage for concerts and songs, a huge tree and lots and lots of rows for little cabins with warm food, drinks, souvenirs and presents.
All the main home confectionary brands, as well as street food trucks are here. Huge grills with sausages and vegetables, many types of glintwein (Gluhwein) – you can find any meal here.
A nice wide alley with Christmas lights is great for taking pictures and making wishes while holding hands. There is a huge plastic slope for adults and kids and it’s wide enough to slide down as a group while holding hands.
In other words, if you came to visit or for a business trip, you will not miss this fair – it combines a great location and a real warm family Christmassy ambience.
