MTS May Stop Providing Services In Crimea
The MTS Ukraine telecommunications company (Kyiv) is not ruling out the possibility of stopping provision of services in the unrecognized Republic of Crimea.
The press service of the company announced this in a statement.
According to the company, it is having difficulties with maintaining and operating its network on the territory of Crimea because it is currently impossible to conduct settlements with its partners, suppliers, and subscribers in the hryvnia national currency on this territory.
“The situation continues to deteriorate, and this could lead to disruptions in communications, as well as partial or full suspension or termination of the provision of telecommunications services on this territory because of circumstances beyond the control of MTS Ukraine,” the company said.
Currently, the company is making every effort to preserve its ability to provide high-quality communications services in Crimea.
As Ukrainian News reported, MTS Ukraine has said that it fears that Russian telecommunications operators will displace Ukrainian telecommunications operators in Crimea.
