Mourinho insists he will stay at Chelsea

Former Chelsea midfielder Pat Nevin, summarising on BBC Radio Five Live, summed up the mood: “The questions over Mourinho will be a cacophony now”. “In the second-half I thought both teams had chances but we looked really solid defending and on the counter-attack we took our chances and I thought it was a deserved win”.

Kelly: We heard them chanting your name. Next press conference I will bring you nice glasses.

Kelly: You did say before this game that you were not anxious, are you a little bit more anxious now?

Mourinho: They are not stupid.

Next he was asked about Lucas avoiding a second yellow for a foul on Ramires.

‘You don’t think about the summer of 2016.

“I am punished if I tell you”, he said, as he awaits the outcome of two disciplinary matters.

Klopp’s side were certainly aided by Philippe Coutinho’s superb goals, the first, a stunning left-foot effort from outside the box to level the match in first-half stoppage time.

However, when probed that he has a duty to the Chelsea supporters about the side’s form, he simply capped off by stating that they were not stupid.

Goalscorer Ramires said: “It is hard because when we lose a game, everyone is sad in the dressing room”.

He added: “It was a massive win for us”. “But we see, match after match, that, as professionals, they are not getting the respect they deserve”. If you want to write, you write. Maybe you’ll see the game in a better way.

“I love this player”, added the manager. Sources in Portugal believe Mourinho may not be in charge for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Dynamo Kyiv. Hopefully I can go on to score many more goals. I have spoken to him, yes of course.

“We had not the best start, that’s the truth”, said Klopp.

Jurgen Klopp had spent the majority of the 90 minutes talking to the officials, so it was no great surprise when he consulted the referee Mark Clattenburg one last time after Liverpool’s victory here. I’m not sure it was a foul.

“We had control of these situations”.

“Nobody knows if they would win with 10 against 11”. When that was put to Mourinho, who now has a suspended stadium ban hanging over him for media comments, he replied “Howard Webb says …” Klopp answered when probed over his title aspirations.
