Moscow Summons Kyiv’s Envoy to Voice Protest Over Anti-Russia Sanctions
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Ukraine’s extension of sanctions against Russia is an unfriendly step that may undermine the implementation of the Minsk peace agreements, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday.“It was also noted that such provocative actions by Kyiv will not contribute to the normalization of Russian-Ukrainian relations and will, of course, undermine the implementation of the Minsk agreement of February 12,” ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters.
“On September 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires [Ruslan] Nimchinsky, who received a strong protest in relation to yet another unfriendly act by the Ukrainian side,” she added.
