MH17: FlyDubai Ukraine Flights Resume
FlyDubai has resumed most flights to Ukraine following Friday’s Malaysian Airlines tragedy.
The budget airline, which travels to three cities in the country – Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, as well as to rebel-held Donetsk – suspended all flights there on Friday, when Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 was reportedly shot down in Ukrainian airspace, killing all 298 people onboard.
In a statement, it said: “Our flights to Kyiv and Odessa are currently operating to schedule. Our flights to Kharkiv have been cancelled until further notice.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the operating instructions issued by the relevant authorities.”
US Secretary of State John Kerry said there was overwhelming evidence of Russian complicity in the downing of flight MH17, the BBC reported early today.
It said Russia has been accused of providing pro-Russian forces with an anti-aircraft system alleged to have been used in the attack, adding that Kerry had called on Russia to take responsibility for the rebels’ actions.
