Manchester City’s Champions League clash at Dynamo Kyiv to be played behind

Dynamo Kyiv coach Serhiy Rebrov hopes the hectic English football schedule can work to his team’s advantage when they face Manchester City in the Champions League last 16.
It’ll be heating up in the Premier League then, clubs will be playing twice a week which will also will be significant.
Just previous year City played Russian side CSKA Moscow behind close doors during the group stages of the Champions League.

The first leg on February 24 will take place behind closed doors in the Ukrainian capital as part of a UEFA punishment for racist attacks on fans that took place during Dynamo’s 0-0 draw when they hosted Chelsea during the group stages. It’s going to be hard for us but the most important thing is that we show we’re improving in this competition and we fight to get to the quarters.
City’s 2-1 aggregate defeat four years ago was memorable for a couple of classic Mario moments and Balotelli had to come in the first leg in Kyiv, which Roberto Mancini’s side lost 2-0, because he was allergic to the grass.
“They are a strong side”, said the Spaniard.
Begiristain, who was a Champions League victor as a player in 1992 and was on Barca’s staff when they won the competition in 2006 and 2009, is not taking progress for granted.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men were handed a favourable draw in the last 16 of the competition as they avoided the likes of Paris Saint-Germain.
