Man United edging closer to signing Dynamo Kyiv defender Aleksandar …
The Express are reporting that Man United are on the brink of signing Aleksandar Dragovic after Arsenal are set to bring in Gabriel Paulista.
The Austrian international is currently playing for Dynamo Kyiv since his move from FC Basel in 2014 and has played 35 times for the Ukrainian side.
Now it has been reported by the Express that the 23-year-old is ready to complete his move to Old Trafford that will see Man United pay £15 million for his services.
Louis van Gaal had been considering a number of defenders, including Borussia Dormtund’s Mats Hummels and Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi as the Express reported last week, but has chosen for Dragovic as he is far cheaper and younger than both of the other options – claim the Express.
Defence has been a real issue for Man United this season, with David de Gea having far too much to do between the sticks so far this season.
Next up for Man United is a clash against Leicester at Old Trafford on Saturday. The Red Devils will be hoping to take revenge after an embarrassing 5-3 defeat to the Foxes at the King Power stadium earlier on this season, however, United only have two wins in their last six Premier League fixtures so it won’t be an easy task.
Dragovic has averaged 8 defensive actions per game for D. Kyiv this season in the Europa League
