Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Yarmolenko’s performance and make feelings …
The performance of Andriy Yarmolenko against Everton had Liverpool fans buzzing.
The dazzling performance of Andriy Yarmolenko for Dynamo Kyiv against Everton had fans of rivals Liverpool buzzing.
The winger was linked with a big money transfer move to Liverpool last season, with The Mirror reporting he was high on the club’s wish list.
As he helped Kyiv crush Everton’s hopes of Europa League glory, his performance had supporters wishing the club re-ignite their credited interest in his signature.
It’s easy to see why, Yarmolenko scored one, provided one assist, and hit the woodwork in the comprehensive 5-2 victory.
He completed 82 per cent of his passes and managed three dribbles, which was more than the rest of the Kyiv starting XI.
The 25-year-old is valued at £20 million by transfermarkt, but could potentially be bought cheaper considering his contract expires in June 2016.
His production this season for Dynamo Kyiv has been terrific. He now has 15 goals and 18 assists in 29 games this season, and is more of a finished product than either Lazar Markovic or Adam Lallana are.
His performance could have put him back on the radar of other interested clubs, and if Liverpool’s interest is or was genuine, he could be a worthy addition to the squad.
Here is a look at how fans reacted to his display…
