–> The Karachi Port handled 88,352 tonnes of cargo including 48,334 tonnes of import and 40,018 tonnes of export, 5,429 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 78,079 tonnes of dry cargo including 63,836 tonnes of general cargo; 12,271 tonnes of cement; 1,972 tonnes of rice and 10,273 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.

Nine ships namely Kima, Shayan-1, Flag Investor, British Harmony, Al-Hussaini, Orinico River, Breeze, Wan Hai-501 and Bunga Teratai Dua sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz H H Tide, Ts Qingdao, Valbella, Aradian Qingdao and Silver Graft are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Mol Affinity, Arabian Orchid, Blida, Rak Afrikana, Silver Graft and Ts Qingdao expected to sail on Friday while another vessel viz H H Tide is expected to sail on Saturday.

One vessel viz Oocl Ability due to arrive on Friday while thirteen ships namely Chembulk Savannah, Stolt Helluland, Jakarta Express, Kota Handal, Jock Rickmers, Uni Angel, Apl Balboa, Mare Thracium, Sun Shine, Admire Coral, Ocean Project-2, Siam Sapphire and An Ze Jiang are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIMA total cargo volume of 47,136 tonnes including 31,835 tonnes of import, 15,301 tonnes of export cargo and 1,684 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Friday. The cargoes comprised of 10,732 tonnes of palm oil; 848 tonnes of project cargo; 7,535 tonnes of chemicals; 5,269 tonnes of cement and 22,752 tonnes of containerised cargo.

Three ships MV Lion Princess, CV CMA CGM Puget and CV Asir sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another vessel viz MT Stolt Endurance is expected to sail on Friday. A total of eight ships namely Maersk Novazzano, CSAV Lauca, Dubai, Genie, Chem Rout Brillant, Sahmo Emerald, Ansan and Vancoure-II carrying containers, furnace oil, palm oil and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.

Seven vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget, CV Asir, MV Alexi-III, MV Alaska, MT Beluga Constitution, MT Endurance and Sc Dalian are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, palm oil and chemicals respectively during the report period.

Five ships namely Maersk Novazzano, CSAV Lauca, Sahmo Emerald, MT Genie and MT Indradi carrying containers, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Marginal Wharves-1, Fotco Terminal Marginal and EVTL respectively on Friday. Two vessels viz MV Vatan L and MV Angelia scheduled to load cement are due to arrive on Friday.
