Kyiv Underground Director Kaziulkin Withdraws Resignation Notice

Director of the communal enterprise Kyiv Underground Ruslan Kaziulkin has withdrawn his resignation notice, reads a statement made by the Kyiv Underground pres service.

“On July 15 the Kyiv Underground received Kyiv Mayor/Chairman of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration Vitali Klitschko’s ordinance No.76, dated July 14, on voluntary resignation of chief of the communal enterprise Kyiv Underground Ruslan Kaziulkin as of July 16. In this regard it is necessary to clarify the situation,” it said.

At the July 2 personal meeting with Klitschko the subway chief was invited to tender in resignation.

Substantiation for the resignation letter was a check of Kaziulkin’s preparedness for further cooperation with the new city leadership.

In keeping with the Law on Urban Electric Transport and the Kyiv Underground CE charter, chief is appointed/removed from the post with approval of the central body of executive power which ensures the shaping of and realises the state policy in transport within their powers, and is effected by the mayor of Kyiv upon recommendation from director of the department and with assent of deputy chairman of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration, which was not done.

Considering the intricate situation in the country and at the enterprise, and also the tragic events in the Moscow underground, Kaziulkin has submitted an application to chairman of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration Vitali Klitschko to withdraw his resignation notice.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Klitschko dismissed Kaziulkin on July 14.
