“This year, Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Deschytsia, the Kyiv municipal administration’s Chairman Volodymyr Bondarenko, and other senior officials will participate in the opening ceremony of Europe Day,” said Perebyinis.

According to him, this year’s Europe Day celebration is being organized by the Kyiv municipal administration together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.

The main events will take place at the Art Arsenal national cultural-art and museum complex from 11:00 to 17:00.

The program of events includes a photo exhibition called “Ukraine on the Way to Europe,” a festival of Arts called “24 Carats of Art,” an exposition called “Tourist Kyiv,” a festival of arts and crafts, and a children’s drawing competition.

Information and interactive zones, performances by children’s and folk groups, playrooms, and workshops will also be organized.

The European Union’s Delegation to Ukraine is inviting everyone to attend a panel discussion on “The Idea of Europe and the New Ukraine” at the same venue at 12:00, with the participation of European and Ukrainian diplomats and experts.
