Kyiv reports continuation of militants fire in Donbas
From morning and until 6 p.m. on Wednesday the militants continued firing at the positions of the Ukrainian military in the directions of Donetsk and Luhansk, said representatives of the headquarters of the military operation in Kyiv.
“In the direction of Donetsk the enemies of Ukraine opened artillery, mortar and small arms fire at Vodyane, Pisky and Avdiyivka. There were several instances of sniper fire,” a summary of the press center posted on Facebook Wednesday evening says.
According to Kyiv, the town of Schastia in Luhansk region came under 122-mm mortar fire and Zolote was fired from automatic grenade-launchers and small arms. A sniper also operated there.
The militants used tanks, 82-mm and 122-mm mortars, automatic grenade-launchers and small arms against the town of Shyrokyne in the direction of Mariupol.
In the direction of Artemivsk automatic grenade-launchers, machine-guns and small arms were used against Kirove, Leninske, Mayorske and Popasne. Besides that, the militants used 120-mm mortars against Lozove and Luhanske, an anti-tank rocket system and artillery – at Rozsadky, the summary says.
