The Kyiv Municipal State Administration has decided to close Olimpiiska and Palats Sportu underground stations for passengers’ in and out on Wednesday, July 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 11 p.m. to 12 p.m. because of Red Hot Chili Peppers playing a gig on the stadium of the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv, reads a statement made by the press service of the communal enterprise Kyiv Underground [Kyivskyi Metropoliten].
The statement notes, in the mentioned period trains will not be stopping at the Olimpiiska station, and the Palats Sportu station will be only available as transfer for changing lines.
The decision was made on basis of an order given by deputy chairman of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration Anatolii Holubchenko on July 16 and for the purpose of ensuring transportation of the spectators.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Kyiv closed the Palats Sportu underground station for in on July 14 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. because of a match on the Olimpiyskiy stadium.
