Kyiv plans to build new road to Zhuliany Airport

Kyiv authorities are continuing to consider the construction of a new road to Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany), Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

He said that this project was being considered by the Cabinet of Ministers and that certain decisions would be made within a month.

The cost of the project is about UAH 100 million, Popov added.

Kyiv International Airport is the fifth largest airport in Ukraine in terms of passenger traffic. It is located seven kilometers from the center of Kyiv.

In 2012, the airport increased passenger traffic by 83.4% compared with 2011, to 862,000 people.
