Kyiv Mayor’s Office and National Police signs Memorandum on cooperation
The Kyiv Mayor’s Office has signed a Memorandum on cooperation with the National Police of Ukraine.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko said this during the ceremony of signing of the memorandum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today we understand that order should be brought in Kyiv… We understand that it will be difficult for the capital’s government to do this without the National Police assistance. Only with united effort we will manage to systematize our work and make Kyiv a safe place,” Klychko said.
Chairman of the National Police Khatia Dekanoidze, in turn, noted that road cameras to register vehicle plate numbers is an important part in the city safety system.
“Today together with the mayor’s office we are launching a large project, as Kyiv is not just a capital, but it is the city that should give ton of a safe city. This concerns the video registration of vehicle plate numbers on main highways of Kyiv, the system of video registration in the places of trade, people gatherings, trade centers,” Dekanoidze said.
