KYIV, November 23. /TASS/. Kyiv-appointed governor of the Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine, Gennady Moskal, has ordered to dig trenches along the disengagement line between the Kyiv-controlled territories and territories controlled by the self-defense forces of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic.

“I’ve signed an order to heads of local state administrations to dig trenches along the disengagement line outside the checkpoint to block all roads and forest paths,” he told the ICTV television channel. He also said there were plans to install metal detectors at border check points.

In late October, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council said the Ukrainian side was ready to start creating a disengagement line in the force operation zone in eastern Ukraine on condition the local militias stop fire.
