Klitschko says he will persuade parliamentary opponents with power of thought

KYIV, January 3. /UKRINFORM/. MPs of the party UDAR have come to parliament not to compete in physical strength, but to persuade their opponents with the power of thought, UDAR party faction leader Vitali Klitschko said on Channel 5.

“I have repeatedly said that among the ranks of our party there are people who are experts in different fields: public administration, economics, culture, science, small and medium businesses and social sphere. And we are ready to apply first of all our knowledge and our minds rather than fists,” the UDAR leader said.

Vitali Klitschko hopes that the fights that were staged at the first sessions of the new parliament will not be repeated in the future.

“On the one hand we can say that we defended the interests of the people and not allow breaking the rules and voting with other MPs’ cards. But on the other hand – this is a terrible phenomenon: the whole world watched as our elected officials instead of doing legislative work worked with their fists. They still went to parliament to work with their head. But some are failing to work with their heads, so they used their fists. As a professional in this business, I can say that they used their fists not very good either,” the politician said.
