Klitschko Names Musician Skrypka His Advisor
Kyiv Mayor/Chairman of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration Vitali Klitschko has appointed musician and singer Oleh Skrypka as his advisor, he has told journalists.
“I want to announce: we were speaking that status is required apart from everything else. Well, status is mayor’s advisor on the Andriyivskyi Descent project with all required authority,” said Klitschko.
He says he is much dissatisfied with the current state of Andriyivskyi Descent, in particular vehicles moving along the descent, no public lavatories, and small businessmen and sellers constantly complaining about inconveniences.
The mayor of the capital believes that Andriyivskyi Descent must obtain its status and certain looks for Kyivans and guests of the capital to be able to enjoy spending time here.
As to Klitschko, Skrypka in his turn expressed preparedness to assume responsibility for overseeing this project.
Klitschko also pronounced confidence that Skrypka would cope with his tasks.
Skrypka notes that in the first instance Andriyivskyi Descent must be made pedestrian area.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Kyiv Municipal State Administration has intention to close Andriyivskyi Descent for transport and make it pedestrian area.
