John McCain has pledged to make further efforts to help Kyiv get US military support.
The Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Armed Services made the pledge in a conversation with Valeriy Chaly, Ambassador of Ukraine to US, during a December 4 meeting, according to the press-service of Ukraine’s US Embassy.
Ambassador Chaly thanked Chairman McCain for his consistent, comprehensive and personal support of Ukraine, including in the legislative area.

Chaly added that, apart from strong economy and diplomacy, Ukraine needs a powerful army, in order to succeed in countering Putin’s Russia.
Chairman McCain assured Ambassador Chaly that he remains one of the biggest friends of Ukraine and that he will spare no further effort to ensure Ukraine receives the US defensive weapons to protect herself against Russian aggression.
