It’s 50-50 – Dynamo Kyiv President Confident Over Manchester City Tie
Dynamo Kyiv president Igor Surkis has conceded that Manchester City are difficult opponents for his side in the Champions League, but believes the tie is “even”, with both teams having a chance to progress.
The Ukrainian side have been drawn against the Sky Blues in the round of 16 stage of the Champions League scheduled to resume again in February.
Dynamo Kyiv qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament by virtue of finishing second in Group G, behind leaders Chelsea.
Speaking about the challenge that now awaits them in the round of 16 stage, the president stated that Manchester City will certainly be tough opponents to play against.

But Surkis believes that if his side are well prepared and are “physically ready” to counter the Manchester City threat then there is absolutely no reason why they cannot progress through to the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
“City are a strong team with great players, but we need to go out and perform against them”, Sukris told UEFA.com.
“The main thing is to prepare well. Right now our chances are even. If we are physically ready we can progress. We already have enough experience.
“Our coach and players believe in themselves, which is good.
“The only thing we lack is the experience of such big ties. Maybe we need to pay greater attention to mentality so that the boys won’t be affected by the crowd.”
